What inspired you to pursue a career in immigration law?

The more exposure you have to the diversity of the human experience, the more you can use your experience to the benefit of others. Helping any person to feel empowered to seek liberty, freedom, and a better future is at the heart of what we do. The legal professionals who meet with our customers are each their own branch of knowledge. Continuing the analogy, I first “ate” from the tree of knowledge as a 12 year old boy in a law library. At 12 years of age I emancipated myself from my mother’s care; abandoned and confused, I rode my bike to the Norfolk, VA law library to try to discover the answers I was looking for. I found sanctuary there. It was in that year, 1990, that I made a commitment to myself that if I could ever bring the law library to a person’s front door, I would do exactly that.
